Role and supervision: Undergraduate Researcher; one-month on-site research stay during the winter break. Advisor: Prof. Jihua Hao.
Reaction system and kinetic experiments: Contributed to a room-temperature liquid-phase reaction system with reflux condensation and digitally controlled temperature regulation; participated in time-series sampling and reaction quenching.
Trace-organic pretreatment: Assisted with liquid–liquid extraction, vortex-assisted phase separation, and nitrogen blowdown for complex saline solutions; received related training in glovebox and low-temperature reaction workflows.
Instrumentation and data analysis: Trained in GC–MS operation and its separation and detection principles; participated in preliminary mass-spectral interpretation and compiled assigned experimental-batch data.

Fieldwork and sample preparation: Participated in fieldwork and limestone sampling in the Jianchuan Basin; assisted with crushing, epoxy embedding, grinding, and polishing.
Micro-area analysis: Trained in LA–ICP–MS elemental mapping and spot selection; studied carbonate U–Pb dating and clumped-isotope (Δ47) thermometry workflows.
Data quality control: Participated in investigating anomalous measurements, including common-lead effects and possible diagenetic modification of paleotemperature signals.
Evolution of Early Terrestrial Planets & Testing of Novel Astronomical Instruments

Research and instrument testing: Participated in literature review and group discussion on terrestrial-planet formation, and contributed to field validation and optical testing of a Vertically Charge Transferring Pixel Sensor (VPS)-based daytime star sensor.
