Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3)
2024-10-24
C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) | Nikon D850The apparent magnitude of this comet had dropped significantly at the time of capture, rendering it nearly invisible to the naked eye. Only through long exposures and post-processing curve stretching were its icy nucleus and the magnificent tail, swept out by the solar wind, finally revealed.
As a typical Oort Cloud object, every visit it makes serves as a precious transmission of information regarding the early evolution of the Solar System.
